Fabián Rentería
Senior Consultant

Mr. Fabián Rentería is an attorney and serves as a Senior Consultant for For People of Color, Inc. He is also the Equal Justice Society 2010-2011 Judge Constance Baker Motley Fellow. Fabián has extensive experience with undergraduate and law school admissions. He has served as an appointed member of the UCLA Committee of Undergraduate Admissions and Relations with Schools, University of California's Boards of Admissions and Relations with Schools, and the UCLA Chancellor’s Enrollment Advisory Committee.  Similarly, at UCLA School of Law he was appointed to serve on the Faculty Admissions Committee for two years. 

During law school, Fabián was the Editor-in-Chief of the Chicana/o-Latina/o Law Review and Supervisor for the Juvenile Hall Advocacy Clinic. He received numerous accolades in law school. Fabián is a former Judicial Extern for the Hon. Stephen Reinhardt, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit; Law Clerk for Public Advocates, Inc.; and Research Assistant to UCLA School of Law Professor Gerald P. López. After law school, he worked with a countywide criminal justice committee on law enforcement matters.


Fabián is an immigrant from rural México and is the first person in his family to attend college and law school. Fabián attended UCLA, on full scholarship, and graduated magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, and completed the College Honors Program.  He received his Juris Doctor from UCLA School of Law.
