Rodney O. Fong

Rodney O. Fong is the Assistant Dean for Bar Exam Services at Golden Gate University School of Law. He has dedicated much of his career to providing academic support to law students. His accomplishments include the following: (1) Chair, State Bar of California's Council on Access and Fairness; (2) Chair, College & Law School Committee, State Bar of California's Council on Access and Fairness; (3) Former director of academic support programs at Santa Clara University School of Law, University of San Francisco School of Law, and Golden Gate University School of Law; (4) former Chair, Section on Academic Support Programs, American Association of Law Schools; and (5) two-time recipient of the San Francisco Minority Bar Coalition's Outstanding Service to the Legal Community Award (1999 & 2004). His areas of research include generational diversity, learning styles and teaching methods, and diversity in the legal profession. Rod earned both his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of San Francisco. He was the first person in his family to obtain a college degree and Juris Doctor.
