Latina Lawyers Bar Association – Scholarship Program

The Latina Lawyers Bar Association announces a scholarship program for law students enrolled at a law school in California. The scholarship program will award scholarships to outstanding law students. The scholarship funds may be used towards expenses related to a student’s attendance at a California law school or towards the expenses related to preparation for the California Bar Examination. Preference will be given to Latina law students.

Eligibility Requirements

1.Currently enrolled at a California law school or a current applicant for the California State Bar
2.Demonstrated community service
3.Demonstrated overall commitment to the Latina community
4.Demonstrated potential to succeed
5.Need

Application, Selection and Award Process

Students must complete the application in full, including all required attachments. A completed application form and all required attachments must be postmarked by June 15, 2014. Please deliver these materials to:

Finalists will be contacted to set up interviews by August 1, 2014. A committee, composed of Latina Lawyers Bar Association Board Members, will select the award recipients. Scholarship awards will be presented at the Latina Lawyers Bar Association Annual Installation and Awards Dinner on Friday, October 17, 2014. Attendance is required.

Please note that Latina Lawyers Bar Association Board Members and their family members are not eligible for this scholarship award.
