Mr. Eric Barba is an attorney and serves as For People of Color, Inc.’s Senior Consultant. In this role, Eric assists our members with any questions regarding their law school applications and is available to review personal statements. Eric has extensive experience assisting students with their law school applications.
As the child of immigrants who labored in blue collar jobs, Eric has a passion for workers’ rights. While in law school, Eric advocated for immigrant detainees as the Co-Chair of the El Centro Legal Immigration Detention Center clinic, where he provided pro bono deportation defense services. He served as a Managing Editor for the Chicana/o Latina/o Law Review and was the recipient of the California Employment Lawyers Association Employee Justice Fellowship. He was also a member of UCLA School of Law’s admissions committee.
Eric’s practice focuses on complex employment litigation matters. He is passionate about representing employees who have been have been the victims of harassment, discrimination, retaliation, or wrongful termination.
He received his J.D. from the UCLA School of Law and B.A. in Political Science and History from UCLA. Eric is admitted to practice law in the State of California and is a member of the Diversity Committee of the California Employment Lawyers Association.
