The For People of Color Conference is a FREE annual event devoted towards demystifying the law school application process, the law school curriculum, and law student life for prospective law students of color.
The 22nd Annual conference will be hosted by Berkeley Law’s Coalition for Diversity via Zoom on Saturday, April 9 from 9:00 AM- 4:30 PM (Pacific). We encourage our attendees to stay for the whole conference to get the most out of the experience!
Attendees will attend a series of talks and workshops hosted by Berkeley Law Admissions representatives Kristen Theis-Álvarez and Joseph Lindsay, Career Development Office’s Sara Malan and Elizabeth Klein, Testmasters LSAT preparation, and Professors Abbye Atkinson and Molly Van Houweling.
The conference will end with our keynote speaker, Judge Jennifer Madden from the Alameda County Superior Court.
In addition, attendees will have a chance to speak with Berkeley Law students to learn more about student life and the various opportunities to get involved in extracurricular activities, journals, and pro bono work.
Lastly, attendees will have a chance to have drafts of their resumes and personal statements reviewed by law student volunteers.
