Legal Education Access Pipeline: Side Bar Cafe Webinar

An interview with juvenile justice reformer Frankie Guzman and Dr. James Binnall

Legal Education Access Pipeline (LEAP) is thrilled to announce our second Side Bar Cafe webinar on August 19 at 5:00 pm (PST) with change maker Frankie Guzman, Director of the Youth Justice Initiative at the National Center for Youth Law.

Come hear his fascinating story of his rise from “being in the system” to reforming the system.  He will be joined by his friend Dr. James Binnall, lawyer, author and Associate Professor at Cal State Long Beach.  Dr. Binnall recently completed his first book – Twenty Million Angry Men: The Case for Including Convicted Felons in Our Jury System. What makes Dr. Binnall so remarkable is he also has an interesting journey from prison to  a successful law practice.

Guzman and Dr. Binnall recently co-founded the California System Involved Bar Association – a bar organization comprised entirely of formerly incarcerated and system impacted law students and attorneys with our other Side Bar Cafe guest Frankie Guzman. You won’t want to miss this!
