For People of Color, Inc., the UCSD Krinsk-Houston Law and Politics Initiative, and the Society of Hispanic Students in Law at UCSD are pleased to announce UCSD’s first-ever law school admissions conference. This free all-day event aims to demystify the law school application process, curriculum, and experience for all prospective law students.

This conference will be held in person at UCSD on Saturday, May 18, 2024, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Pacific).

Attendees will learn from a series of discussions and workshops presented by law school admissions representatives, lawyers, judges, and law students.

The For People of Color Conference is a FREE annual event devoted towards demystifying the law school application process, the law school curriculum, and law student life for prospective law students of color. The 24th Annual conference will be hosted by Berkeley Law’s Coalition for Diversity via Zoom on Saturday, April 6, 2024, from 9:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Pacific). We encourage our attendees to stay for the whole conference to get the most out of the experience!

Attendees will attend a series of talks and workshops hosted by Berkeley Law Admissions representatives and Berkeley Law professors. In addition, attendees will have a chance to speak with Berkeley Law students to learn more about student life and the various opportunities to get involved in extracurricular activities, journals, and pro bono work.

Do you identify as Black, Indigenous, or a person of color? Are you interested in learning more about the law school application process? Do you wonder what it is like to be a law student of color, or an attorney of color? Are you curious about how much law school costs, and what financial aid options exist?

RSVP today to join us on Saturday, March 2nd for the 2024 For People of Color Conference at UCLA Law. The conference is a day-long event where you’ll have the opportunity to join panels on admissions, student life, attorney experience, and a mock law school class. Our goal is to empower people of color with information about the law school application process and law school experience, and encourage people of color to join the legal profession.

The conference is completely free and will be held virtually to enable as many people to attend as possible. It is completely student-organized and hosted by the UCLA Latinx Law Students Association, Black Law Students Association, Asian Pacific Islander Law Students Association, Native American Law Students Association, Queer and Transgender People of Color Collective, Womxn of Color Collective.
