For People of Color, Inc. (“FPOC”) is proud to announce that Ms. Sunita Bali, an attorney at Perkins Coie LLP, has joined its Board of Directors. She has broad experience in complex commercial litigation with a specific focus on business litigation. Sunita has worked on breach of contract, business tort, fraud and unfair competition cases. She also has experience in privacy and data security, employment and real estate litigation matters.
Sunita also has a strong commitment to pro bono work. She recently represented a client seeking relief under the Convention Against Torture, which included a merits hearing in Immigration Court. She represented For People of Color, Inc. in drafting an amicus brief to the California Supreme Court addressing privacy issues.

Sunita received her B.A. in Psychology & Sociology from Occidental College and her J.D. from the University of Southern California Law School. She served as a judicial extern for the Hon. Arthur L. Alarcón, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. During law school, Sunita served as the Co-President of the Black Law Students Association and Academic Retreat Coordinator for the Western Regional National Black Law Students Association.
